Wausau24

The Muddy Paws crew has gotten some rest and I am putting the feedback I have already received on paper with plans for 2011.  I came into this event with a lot of event experience but not much in the 12 or 24 hour venues. With some directions from experienced racers I am pleased with the outcome this year. Great racers, excellent volunteers and medical support, a full lineup of sponsors, and supportive spectators. All the ingredients for a fun and professionally run event.

Some quick notes for 2011 based on early feedback:

• We will look to add additional categories and a 3 hour solo, and 6 hour solo or duo race length.
• The transision area will be enlarged to include a shaded waiting area and we will "run" out to the bikes after the "fist" handoff.
• More upbeat music throughout the event.
• The explaination of the finish rulles will be repeated several times.

Stuff we don't need to change:

• Nine Mile, what a location and facility for this event!
• Great experienced volunteer staff.
• Mickey's concessions whenever you are hungry, they are open.
• Sponsors, sponsors everywhere, keep them coming.
• Fun camping and socilizing throughout the weekend. Come to visit with old friends and meet new ones.
