KIDS RACE ANNOUNCED FOR WAUSAU24 2012
A gathering of the best and brightest will be at Nine Mile Forrest July 28th at 1:00pm.
The 12 minutes of Wausau and 24 minutes of Wausau will have a mass start at Nine Mile. Registration will be open Saturday 10am-12:30pm July 28th, 2012.
most laps wins. all participants are encouraged to race for the entire timed event.
THIS IS AN EVENT TO ENCOURAGE AND INSPIRE FUTURE PROS, ALL PARTICIPANTS WILL RECEIVE AN AWARD!
Cost is $3.00 per rider.

W24 Updates
Its April and hear are some quick updates on the W24 for 2012.
2012 W24 schedule is now posted with all the start times and camping entrance times for the weekend.
Hot showers? YES, we will have a couple of hot shower stations at the W24 this year. FREE to participants for Friday- Sunday.
Safety. Always on our mind, we are setting up a text system that racers and crew can be a part of to get weather updates and other important information during the race weekend.
Swag. Who doesn't like to go home with some stuff? I know that 2011 will be hard to beat for FREE handouts, but we are working on surpassing the pile of excellent products from our sponsors to send racers home with. Stay tuned for details and check out the sponsorship page as it continues to grow.
Weather Policy. Plan for the worst and hope for the best. As 2011 showed us, weather happens. Read through the new weather policy. Basically, if you start a lap when the race is in progress and not under a weather delay, you will be allowed to finish it. As noted, there may be restricted support during storms to insure the saftey of our staff.

Why would you schedule the same weekend as another big race in Wisconsin. WORS has a race the same weekend. Many racers like to do both events.

Is there a minimum age for any events.? My 11 year old might want to try the 6 hour next year.

I'm super stoaked to see that things are in the works for another great event! I like to see that the race organizers are willing to participate and hear the racers (weather issue). BIG plus! I really dug this event and I will be one of the first to register when it opens up. The laps were great, the beer was awesome, and the race is first class. Thank you for all that you do! The firewood was stellar as well, keep that around if possible! I can't wait for the race!

Awesome race this year! Loved the race last year, but this year's race blew that out of the water. Loved that you brought in the coffee shop and shaved ice, it's always nice to have a couple options. Lounge area at the finish was a bonus, definitely suggest that stays for next year. Red Eye beer was fantastic, thanks for saving a keg for the 24 hr teams. Uhhh...what happened to the link to the results? Peak Timing doesn't even have them on thier own website! they have races from 1995 listed as "recent", but not Wausau 24!

Great race, liked the course set up. Work hard early, recover late. That plus a 11+ mile lap did wonders in getting more miles ridden. Would be nice to have one more music station on the backside of the course, but all in all a wonderful event. I'll be there next year.

Thanks for putting on a great race! Awesome course--good technical sections; also nice that it was a little shorter than previous years. Please bring back the shower-mobile if possible...

Awesome Swag!!! Great event. Thanks to all volunteers and medical team. Would love to see music and volunteers at another spot on the course in the back woods esp for the night laps!! Gets lonely out there.!
PLEASE bring back MUDDY CUP COFFEE trailer!!! Miss our mochas/lattes and good ol' muddy cup coffee. Test bikes from any bike company would be superb. More vendors... Race was great. thanks for a great job.

Great event! You guys did a tremendous job! Very open minded and helpful crew. Huge improvement over last years event. Perfect course, very organized. Hats off to all organizers and volunteers! We racers appreciate all you did to resurrect this event. Looking forward to next year. Thanks!

Thanks to Adam, Josh, all the cheering fans and all the awesome volunteers. The event was very well run and was tons of fun. Thanks to all the sponsors as well. The pizza and beer was appreciated a ton. To all those that missed it, be there next year. This event is definitely a must for mountain bike racers.

we will be looking into WiFi. Biggest challenge will be range with the broadband card. we will be testing it out during the wors race.

i love the music, and the people on the course the entire 24 hours. i think that is what makes it a cool race, all the little things on the course that make you smile, please keep the tradition alive, and maybe even add to it!
